ABOUT US: Families, as well as couples, will enjoy Gracefield Cottage as it is a cosy, self-contained, country cottage with 2 bedrooms and a sitting room upstairs, sleeping up to 5 people. At night you can hear the frogs singing their song under the clear, black sky twinkling with brilliant stars. The views, during the day, are delightful, looking out over the rolling green pastures and natural bushland. Downstairs is a comfortable lounge with a wood heater and is equipped with a flat screen HD TV, DVD and CD player, with a selection of DVD's and CD's for your enjoyment. The homely kitchen has full cooking facilities and if the weather is pleasant you can cook on a small BBQ outside under the veranda. A breakfast basket is supplied for you to have at your leisure. Sit out on the veranda and enjoy a cup of coffee, listen to the birds and soak up the peaceful surroundings of a working farm or take a walk around the property and watch the deer, goats and alpacas grazing in the fields. Children will love to collect the eggs daily and feed our pet deer or the majestic elks. There are many areas to walk and explore and the Neerim State Forest, which borders our property, is great for bushwalking, where you can observe the abundant wildlife or go horseriding and bikeriding, but you could also have a lazy day reading a book or just take a breather from the hectic city life! There are many things to do in West Gippsland, so take a drive and visit the local wineries and cafes or picnic at the nearby Tarago Dam, the fern gullies of Glen Nayook and the Trestle Bridge in Noojee. Experience something very different and try your hand at fishing at the Alpine Trout Farm in Noojee. Mt Baw Baw is only 50 minutes away and provides ideal skiing in winter, or during the warmer months, go bushwalking, bikeriding or watch the wildflowers burst into life. There are many craft markets, galleries and wineries in the Gippsland Gourmet Country with historical townships such as Yarragon and Walhalla providing wonderful day trips. Take a look at our Events Page - you are sure to find something interesting and adventurous to do!![]()
